Property prices and interest rates since 2000: phases, triggers and outlook
Between 2010 and 2022, property prices in Germany almost doubled; since the interest rate turnaround they have been under pressure. This video compares prices, interest rates and transaction volumes since 2000, shows in three phases up to which purchase price multiple a loan still pays off for investors, and explains what government debt and expiring fixed-rate periods mean for the coming years.
